Corendis Dawson-Bonner - Executive Director

In the spring of 2006 Corendis Dawson-Bonner began her work as Founder and Executive Director of Judah House Inc. She is  an advocate for the families Judah House serves, a Minister licenesed by the Liberty Christain Center International where Dr. Keith A. Bolton is Senior Pastor, a Pastoral Counselor Certified by the Saint Francis Academy for Clinical Pastoral Training. Corendis came to this work in 2000 to help those in the community as well as those reentering have a chance to stablize and navigate systems once closed to them. Her back ground as an advocate in the special education system in Hartford has made it possible for Judah House to assit consumers in gaining access to supports systems as a way to acheive their goals. 

Through the the support and training received from capacity building agencies in the Greater Hartford area Corendis has received certifications from AFCAMP, Trinity Center for Neighborhood Directors, the Family Development and Credentialing Training Institute, STRIVE National Academy, YWCA Sex Assult Crisis Services, the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services' (DMHAS) Project for Addiction Cultural Competence Training Insititute (PACCT), National Alliance of Mental Illiness' (NAMI) Visions for Tomorrow, University of Connecticuts' (UCONN) Center for Excellence Parteners in Policy Making, Families United for Childrens Mental Healths' Strategies for Success. Corendis is a Fellow of the  Connecticut Office of Faith and Community Initiatives Community Deveoplment Leadership Institute.

She has also served the community as an active represenative on the following boards. Greater Hartford Systems of Care Quality Assurances Committe, Department of Children and Families (DCF) Regional Advisory Council (RAC), Hartford Community Partenership, Ascend Steering Commitee. Corendis continues her education as a student in the Psychology Program at the University of Saint Joseph (formally St. Joseph College) in West Hartford, CT.
